Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Health Check App Again

At the launch of Windows 11, Microsoft has shared a Windows 11 PC Health Check app that tests your computer to see if it deserves a major Windows update. It was recently downgraded due to a dispute over system requirements.

Now, it's available for download as well and you can see if your hardware is compatible. You need a 64-bit CPU with at least two cores and a clock speed of 1GHz, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Multiple restrictions are a requirement of the TPM 2.0 feature that needs to be enabled via BIOS settings if supported.

However, there are a number of those that meet the minimum requirements but will not be supported by Windows 11. These are CPUs from Intel's 7th Generation and other Ryzen second-generation AMD chips.

Microsoft has noted, however, that it will look into whether users participating in the Insider program using the specified CPUs have a problem with Windows 11. And if not, it will install Intel's 7th-gen and 2nd's Ryzen CPUs for AMD. on officially supported hardware. But that will happen after the advent of the stable version of Windows 11.

From now on, only selected Intel 7th Generation chips are eligible - Core i7-7820HQ, Core X and Xeon W series can run Windows 11 officially. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 850 or newer is also supported. Other 2nd-gen Ryzen CPU AMD CPUs are also authorized.

If you don't want to spend time looking at your CPU and all this sounds very confusing, let the PC Health Check app do just that for you.
